A: Did you hear about the news from McDonald’s?

 

B: Yes, a young worker became the victim of sexual assault by her manager. Unfortunately, she suffered from depression even after resigning and ultimately committed suicide.

 

A: That's heartbreaking. Was there an investigation?

 

B: Yes, but many people feel the investigation wasn't thorough. The company’s response and handling were criticized, and McDonald's has also faced a lot of boycotts.


A:  I hope this raises awareness and leads to real change, so that employees are better protected in the future.

To keep her job, she stayed silent but suffered from depression after she resigned, ultimately committing suicide. This tragic event sparked concerns about workplace safety, leading to an investigation. 台北一家麥當勞的年輕工讀生遭到主管性侵害。她為了保住工作保持沉默,離職後仍受憂鬱症折磨而選擇自殺。這起悲劇引發了對職場安全的重視,並啟動了調查。許多人認為公司應該提供員工更多支持,撻伐公司包庇加害主管的行為,並呼籲大眾一起抵制麥當勞。
