On March 28, 2025, a magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck Myanmar. The tremors were felt over 1,000 kilometers away in Bangkok, Thailand, where a building under construction collapsed, trapping over a hundred workers. This disaster came at a bad time, as U.S. foreign aid had recently been frozen, affecting human rights and disaster relief. The country is now facing a crisis, struggling to rescue survivors and rebuild.
